How to: Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until smooth. You may need to scrape down the sides of the food processor a few times to ensure that everything is well incorporated. Transfer the avocado hummus to a bowl and cover with cling film. Chill in the fridge for one hour to allow the flavours to combine.

For an extra magnesium boost, serve with kale crisps!

  • 1 ripe avocado (approx. 80g)
  • 400g canned chickpeas, drained
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 large lemon, juice only
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • sea salt, to taste
