Vegan Walnut pate

Vegan walnut pate is one of my favourite vegan recipes.  Make it as an alternative to hummus. Delicious.  Find more recipes
Serve with batons of carrot,courgette,cucumber or with organic rice cakes or corn crackers.
8oz of soaked walnuts (soak overnight preferably)
2 tbsp organic tahini
2-3 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tbsp of organic tamari (check the label)
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp organic extra virgin olive oil
fresh herbs of your choice ( I normally use rosemary and thyme )
Black pepper and a tiny amount of pink Himalayan salt
2 tbsp olive oil
Process everything together to the consistency that you require in a high speed blender or food processor.  Some like it chunky and others very smooth.  Add more olive oil to make it smoother.
Top with some finely chopped coriander, black pepper or paprika
